How to Create a Windows 7 Recovery Disk

By | 2009-08-02

In the event that something happens where Windows 7 will not start properly, it’s quite useful to have a Recovery Disc available. It can be used to solve common problems that cause Windows 7 to fail during the boot process.

  1. Press the Start Orb.
  2. Type Backup.
  3. Select Backup and Restore.
  4. Click Create a system recovery disc.
  5. Select your DVD drive.
  6. Place a burnable disc into your drive and click Create disc

Once the disc is burned, you can test it by attempting to boot your PC with it. Be sure that the settings in your computer’s BIOS is set to where it tries to boot from the DVD drive first before attempting to boot from the hard drive.
