Remove the Arrow from Shortcuts

Would you prefer to show your shortcuts without the arrow in the bottom left-hand corner? This tip will show you how to change the arrow icon or remove it completely.

Open your registry and find the key below.

Create a new string value called ’29’, or modify the exist value, so that the data equal the icon you want to use for the shortcut arrow. If you don’t want an icon simply leave the value blank.

Note: Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
