Change the registered owner

This quick alteration to the registry will change what is displayed as the owner of the current installation of Windows.

  1. Open regedit and select HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion
  2. Right click RegisteredOwner and select Modify
  3. Enter the correct owner
  4. Exit regedit and reboot your system
