Network Statistics

Using the NET STATISTICS command, you can get a lot of detailed information about how a workstation or server is communicating over the network.

Open a command prompt and type:

NET STATISTICS WORKSTATION

for workstation communication information about your computer

A typical workstation report will look like the following:

Workstation Statistics for \\COMPUTERNAME
Statistics since 07/17/2007 1:02 PM
Bytes received 97328
Server Message Blocks (SMBs) received 670
Bytes transmitted 158765
Server Message Blocks (SMBs) transmitted 656
Read operations 73
Write operations 0
Raw reads denied 0
Raw writes denied 0
Network errors 0
Connections made 18
Reconnections made 3
Server disconnects 2
Sessions started 0
Hung sessions 0
Failed sessions 0
Failed operations 0
Use count 22
Failed use count 0
The command completed successfully.
