Add Google Search to XP Task Bar

In this age desktop indexers, browser toolbars, and the like, maybe you want just simple search box.  Here’s how.

No installed software, no wasted cpu cycles.  Just a simple box to type your search into, and have your browser display the results.  This handy little registry tweak will add a Google search box to your task bar.

Simply enter the search in the box, then hit enter, and bang! you’re results are returned to you in a browser window.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchUrl\G
default="http://www.google.com/search?q=%s"

Not tested with Windows Vista or 7. Works fine with XP, though.  Have you tested with Vista or 7?  Let us know in the comments!
